This project explores archival material through a printed publication of early 1900s postcards of Gloucester Road, sourced from Bristol Archives. Using a clean editorial layout, each image is paired with short captions and reflections, connecting past and present. Layered spreads combine off-white stock with vellum inserts, creating depth and encouraging interaction as images and text subtly overlap.
The cover is letterpressed onto Hahnemühle paper using Prussian Blue ink, adding a tactile, historically resonant finish. Through typography, material choices, and layout, the publication reinterprets local history while highlighting Gloucester Road’s evolving identity.
